Many of us still harbor dreams of salvaging treasure from the the Spanish galleons that have scattered over the reefs along the east coast of Florida. As a salvor since 1960 I can honestly say, "we will never find it all, regardless of how long nor hard we try." So...Yes, there is still treasure lying on the reefs and in sand pockets scattered from Ft. Pierce to Sebastian Inlet, and throughout the Florida Keys. - Bob Frogfoot Weller

Get In Line For Next Year - Frogfoot

Because of the many requests for summer seminars, we will be holding five between May and July. The waters off the Palm Beaches during this time are a warm 80 degrees, and underwater visibility is usually 100 feet or more. The five-day seminar includes two days of shipwreck diving in 8’-12’ of water, an automobile tour of the 1715 treasure sites, and two days of lectures about putting together a complete salvage operation: leases, sub-contracting existing sites, use of metal detectors, magnetometers and sidescan sonars, working with investors, divisions, and putting together a salvage prospectus. Lunches are provided every day, and each attendee will receive a silver Spanish “Piece of Eight” from the 1715 fleet.

Not surprisingly, many former attendees have become treasure FINDERS. Ken Nehiley, Joe Peters, and Joe Shepherd each recently recovered gold coins on the “Nieves” site, as well as a number of silver coins and

artifacts. This past year John Schultz and Lloyd Wickliff recovered their first silver“Pieces of Eight” on the “Nieves” Site Cost of the seminar is $750. A deposit of $250 is required to reserve a seat in one of the classes, with the balance due upon arrival. Checks or money orders are acceptable. No credit cards. Checks should be made out to: “Crossed Anchors” and mailed to 1818 17th Avenue N., Lake Worth, FL 33460-6432. Tel. # 561-588-2903,
